Naval Ship Management (Australia) Pty Ltd (NSM) is a joint venture between Babcock International Group and UGL Pty Limited which provides asset management solutions to the Australian maritime sector. NSM has recently been selected as the LHD Asset Class Prime Contractor (ACPC) by the Capability, Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) to become the asset steward for the Royal Australian Navy’s two Landing Helicopter Docks (LHD), twelve LHD Landing Craft (LLC) and associated assets commencing from mid-2019. N

NSM has a proud history supporting the ANZAC class frigates where we currently undertake planning, scheduling, management and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance on the east and west coasts of Australia.

The Opportunity

If you are for ready for your next challenge the LHD Program has a position available for an experienced Principal Scheduler to join our team based in Henderson.

You will be responsible for oversight of schedule development and management of External Maintenance Availabilities (EMA’s) / Maintenance Window Opportunities (MWO’s) – Integrated Project Master Schedules, Program Master Schedules and the output data.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Manage the schedule architecture and processes within the NSM project scheduling group
  • Development and review of program schedules
  • Provide schedule progress reports to Program and Management team

  • Support finance with end-of-month reporting

  • Support Production and Program Managers with the review of contingency and risk
Skills and experience

To be the successful candidate for this position you will ideally have:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Previous experience working in the Defence Industry, specifically in ship repair or sustainment desirable
  • Experience in effective supply chain relationships
  • Broad system competence
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a supportive high-performing team
  • Excellent Communication skills.

A requirement for the position is to be an Australian Citizen and eligible to hold an Australian Defence security clearance.
