The Department of Education is seeking an experienced and professional Executive to undertake the role of Group Manager, National Policy and Data Reform, Schools and Youth Cluster.
The Group Manager, National Policy and Data Reform is a key member of the Education leadership team and a key source of advice and support to the department in the pursuit of organisational goals and strategies. This includes strategic advice influencing the Cluster’s strategy and decision making through high quality evidence based analysis and policy advice.
The Group Manager, National Policy and Data Reform leads and oversees engagement with internal and external stakeholders and influences outcomes, including through leading and motivating others. Stakeholder engagement is a major component of the role. The Group is responsible for secretariat and administrative support for key internal and external governance committees. As such, the Group Manager is a key provider of support and advice to the Minister, Secretary, the Executive, the Schools and Youth Cluster and the department. The role requires the ability to anticipate the needs of stakeholders and provides persuasive advice to resolve divergent views and conflicting priorities.
