The Australian Communications and Media Authority is seeking to fill the vacancy of General Manager Content and Consumer Division. The Content and Consumer Division engages with consumers, industry and government to shape and apply the regulatory framework for media and communications. As General Manager of the Division, reporting directly to the Chair/Agency Head, you will lead a diverse and highly motivated team (approximately 110 staff) undertaking regulatory, investigation and compliance activities as well as grants management and public information provision.
The Division’s responsibilities cover telecommunications consumer protections, content safeguards, support for regional publishers and unsolicited communications such as spam and the national Do Not Call Register.
The Division is organised into three branches, with each branch being responsible for administering the provisions of a particular area of legislation, as follows:
