 The role

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team.

Reporting to the Network Manager, you will be responsible for providing infrastructure and operations support to maintain and improve networking infrastructure components within the organisation.

 Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the implementation and administration of network hardware, software and monitoring systems.
  • Performing analysis of network needs to deliver design, integration, and installation of hardware and software.
  • Periodic network monitoring to determine the health of the network systems.
  • Analyse network traffic to identify problems with capacity and performance.
  • Internet / WAN routing and Software Defined WAN implementation and administration.
  • Branch / Campus network implementation and administration.
  • Firewall implementation and administration.
  • Data Centre network infrastructure implementation and administration.
  • Load balancer and Implementation and administration.
  • QoS, DNS, DHCP and IP Address management and administration.
  • Contribute to and maintain network system documentation in support of IT Infrastructure Operations.
  • Ensure network infrastructure are effectively maintained.

 To be successful in this role you will possess

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in advanced networking.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on complex networking projects.
  • Extensive experience with TCP/IP and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
  • Extensive experience with implementation of Cisco / Arista data centre solutions.
  • Extensive experience with implementation and administration of Aruba Branch / Campus networks.
  • Extensive experience with Network Access Control implementation and administration with Aruba Clearpass and Aruba switches in a large enterprise.
  • Extensive experience with implementing and support Aruba Wireless in large enterprise environment.
  • Experience in Internet / WAN routing including Software Defined WAN implementation and administration.
  • Experience in remove access VPN solution.
  • Experience in implementing and administration of firewall solution and Deny of Service solution which include Palo Alto firewall and Radware DefencePro.
  • Experience in implementing of load balancing solution such as Radware Alteon , Citrix Netscaler or F5.
  • Knowledge and experience with VoIP and QoS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A customer centric approach and the ability to create and operate in a highly collaborative team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with initiative and an enthusiastic and energetic approach.
  • Certified in CCNP, CCDP or equivalent.
  • Arista, Aruba or Palo Alto certification an advantage.
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science
