Private practitioner- psychologist /ot/ social worker - penrith or seven hills

LikeMind is a State Government initiative to provide clinical intervention services to adult consumers with a variety of mental health, physical health and psycho-social needs. LikeMind brings together a consortium of service providers in an accessible, centralised and engaging community space to provide holistic services to address each individual client’s needs.

LikeMind Seven Hills and Penrith are looking for a highly motivated Private Practitioner to work with adult consumers.  This position provides an opportunity for an experienced mental health professional to utilise their excellent clinical skills and experience in a role that provides variety, clinical growth and career progression whilst being supported by a strong multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals. Our Private Practitioners complete work in assessment, treatment planning, psychological treatment and referral and are highly valued members of our team.

  • Flexible day or days - Part time
  • Full administrative support & professional work environment

The position provides clinical services to the adult population via a Mental Health Treatment Plan where services are bulk billed to Medicare or if a consumer is eligible for an NDIS package that requires therapeutic support. 

Skills and Experience

This position would suit an individual who can demonstrate:

  • Genuine interest in providing clinical services to assist some of the most vulnerable members of the community;
  • Highly visible passion and energy that motivates others;
  • Full registration with the relevant body (AHPRA or AASW);
  • Evidence based practice and previous experience in delivering psychological interventions;
  • A flexible and solutions focussed approach to practice with an understanding of the services our consortium members provide;
  • Eligibility to provide services under Medicare and be willing to bulk bill;
  • Have an ABN or be able to obtain one;
  • Relevant Criminal History checks.
