The opportunity

The Reporting & Insights Lead will work as part of a team which services the data requirements of QBE Auspac. The role will report to the Senior Manager, Reporting & Insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support QBE Auspac performance goals through ad hoc and regular data / insights to the business.
  • Support regulatory projects in the provision of data and information requested of QBE ANZO by regulators, including extraction of data based on specified requirements, documenting process and testing/reconciliation approaches
  • You will be required to consult with SMEs within the Legal/Compliance, Actuarial, Product, IT and Finance functions.

What does success look like?

  • Technical skills, specifically in relation to data extraction and manipulation (e.g. SQL, SAS) and data visualisation (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Understanding the business of insurance is essential and the products QBE provides will be advantageous
  • Strong stakeholder management skills in consulting with SMEs within the business to gather appropriate requirements, resolve issues, etc 
  • Able to interpret and clarify written requests in order to define scope and articulate the requirements clearly
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Ability to interpret requirements and apply business knowledge to develop solutions
