Aveo is seeking an experienced and pro-active part time Registered Nurse to join Aveo Mingarra Aged Care, Croydon VIC 

About the role:

This is a part time position and is rostered for 26.25 hours per fortnight.

Reporting to the Aged Care Manager, you will be required to lead, supervise and educate a clinical team and ensure the delivery of person-centred care at the highest possible standard.
You will also be responsible for ensuring all residents receive general and support services in line with resident contracts and care plans and be accountable for all medication management during the shift.
The successful candidate will ensure the team complies with Aveo policies and procedures and that the Aged Care Accreditation Standards are met and residents' safety ensured at all times.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA required
  • Post graduate qualifications in nursing or gerontology highly regarded
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Current Police certificate
  • Staff supervision experience
  • Understanding of person-centred care
  • Flexibility to work across a 24-hour roster
  • Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment and drug & alcohol screening as part of the recruitment process

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Intermediate level of computer competence the Microsoft Suite and on-line network applications
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound office or business administration competencies
  • Business negotiation and staff management skills
