The School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences (SCMB) combines the disciplines of Chemistry, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Parasitology into a single academic unit. The School has modern research laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment and research infrastructure. The School includes over 50 academic staff, who are widely published internationally and have extensive research backgrounds. About This Opportunity

Coordinate the provision of administrative support for the School’s research activities, provide high-level advice and support to academic staff to enhance the School’s research performance and reputation, manage the collation and reporting on the school’s research performance, and be a critical link between the School and research professional services in the University.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will have a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Your written and interpersonal communication skills will be at a high level, as will be your organisational and time management skills.

With good computer literacy, attention to detail and data analysis capacity, you can analyse problems and propose solutions.

You are self-motivated to work with limited guidance, cooperating with the officer who shares the role, to seek out new funding opportunities and match them to the academic work of the School.

What We Can Offer

This is a part-time (50% -60% negotiable), continuing job-share position at HEW level 7.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $85,222 - $93,085, plus super of up to 17% and recreation leave loading of 17.5%.
