Registered Nurse

At IBIS Care Blakehurst we value our staff as much as our residents. Our core values are respect, people and team-work. IBIS Care is a smaller aged care organisation of two homes, Miranda and Blakehurst. The benefit of being smaller is that we know each other by name and take care of one another and our beautiful residents.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Blakehurst Team. The Registered Nurse is a clinical leader who provides and oversees the personal and clinical care of residents and contributes to the dynamic and positive culture of the work-place.

At Blakehurst Aged Care, we have a strong Registered Nurse workforce who are up-to-date with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards and provide care that is ‘outstanding’ in the Aged Care industry. This is done by working together as a team. The Registered Nurses are always supported by a hands-on Care Manager and Clinical Care Coordinators who value and respect their staff as much as their residents and nursing profession.

If you have a passion for providing outstanding care, enjoy working with other fun, caring and like-minded people and want to develop and grow professionally, we would love to have you come on board.

To be successful in the role you will have the following:

  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Good observation skills and an ability to escalate clinical deterioration.
  • The passion and motivation to ‘speak up’ when something doesn’t look right.
  • Proficient in information technology (able to use a computer).
  • You need to care about older people, your work colleagues and yourself.
  • Aged Care experience is preferred but not essential.
  • A hands-on and working-as-a-team philosophy. The best way to support your team and care for your residents is to spend time with them, be there for them and with them.  Senior management have the same philosophy too.

This is an exciting opportunity to expand your experience and join a family-like team that works toward one goal, to provide outstanding care to older people and take care of each other. This is a permanent part time position with the opportunity to become permanent full time.

In your application please include your CV and a brief description of yourself and work background.
