The Role:

The Digital Engagement Officer is a newly created role, reporting to the Manager, Communications and Marketing and, will be valued member of the newly formed State Promotions team.

This important role will help the delivery of strategic communications activities to build and boost South Australia’s brand interstate and overseas.

You will provide expert advice to management and project teams on best practice digital communications, of which social media is an important component, and broader communications with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • implementing the communication strategy and projects, primarily within an online environment
  • providing expert, digital-by-default advice to management and project teams on, digital and written communications and social media strategy and implementation
  • developing and implementing creative, relevant and engaging content across all digital channels
  • contributing to business-as-usual communication campaigns utilising multiple channels, including data management and eDM.

About you:

To be successful in this position it is essential that you have experience in CMS software, social media management tools and simple HTML and eDM software (e.g. MailChimp), Microsoft Office suite and a sound knowledge of communications theory and methodology across all media.

Desirable Qualification:

Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or equivalent.

Special Conditions:

  • Out of hours work may be required as well as intrastate, interstate and international travel.
  • Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.

Remuneration:

AS06 - $92,784 - $98,143
