The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an to join our JBWere Client Services team. Reporting into the Head of Client Services, the Lead Financial Control role is designed to lead day to day operations of the Financial Control team. This key role will ensure services are delivered to internal and external clients to a best in industry standard by developing innovative new processes, approaches and landing change into daily operations. The other core focus is to drive a high performing team culture with best in class staff engagement.

Day to day you will:

  • Define, clear, agreed and measurable objectives for the team that align to the organisation priorities
  • Lead the team’s delivery of services in a variety of functional disciplines
  • Create an outstanding work environment by inspiring and empowering the team to deliver against business objectives
  • Identify, capture and proactively drive the delivery of enhanced client outcomes and operational efficiencies through a variety of sources
  • Drive the enhancement of the control environment as well as ongoing identification and mitigation of weakness in the control environment

About You:

You are an experienced finance professional (preferably wealth management background) with a proven ability to lead a team and efficiently manage processes that meet detailed requirements in a way that engages the hearts and minds of those involved. You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Strategic thinking applied in a complex corporate environment
  • Effective stakeholder relationship management and engagement at all levels of seniority
  • Successful delivery of change to operational processes, including providing thought leadership and gaining the active support of a variety of senior stakeholders
  • Reliable delivery of high quality outcomes, particularly under time pressure
  • Good humour and the ability to foster a professional but enjoyable working environment amongst team members and your stakeholders

To be successful in this role you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and demonstrated experience in financial services. Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills are essential, with ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders. Your strong execution capability, coupled with the ability to drive key priorities and deliver results will ensure your success in this role.
