How will I help?

In this new opportunity you will report to the Executive Manager, Governance, Monitoring and Data. You will drive clarity and transparency of interpretation and application of the credit capital adequacy regulatory standards (APS 113 and APS 112) and oversee model governance, compliance and issues management within Risk Analytics.

Working closely with data, credit and reporting teams, and the Basel III project, you will ensure appropriate ongoing documentation and governance relating to the application of APS 113 and APS 112.

You will also co-ordinate Risk Analytics' involvement in regulatory engagements and reviews and, work with broader Risk Analytics team, progressively evolve and enhance modelling-related governance processes and controls.

What do I need?

Along with an Excellent academic results in a quantitative field, we are looking for:

  • 10 years' experience in the financial services industry
  • 7 years experience in a credit risk or credit risk model development role with exposure to APS 113/APS 112
  • 3 years experience engaging with regulators with regard to credit capital adequacy standards
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of APRA standards APS 112 and APS 113
  • Excellent understanding of credit processes and products including the role of models and data in these processes
  • Excellent banking fundamentals
