We are a new fast growing novelty cake shop that specialises in made to order custom cakes. Most of our cakes are birthday, wedding, religious or corporate.
In order to maintain our exceptional product standards, we are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef / Cake Decorator, who will be responsible for the preparation, baking and finishing of our custom cake orders.
The opportunity on offer is Casual for a 1 to 3 shifts per week but as we continue to grow this could turn into 5 shifts per week and for the right candidate the potential for a full time job!
You must have the following;
·Ability to work with a fast paced team without compromise on quality or consistency
·Be able to work effectively in a team
·Be able to organise their work
·Ability to work unsupervised or in a team
·Either be experienced in all aspects of pasty making including weighing, mixing, laminating, finishing cakes or be keen to learn and be trained in all aspects of the industry
·Initiative and be highly motivated
·Have a passion for food and demonstrate a creative flair
·Finish products to product specifications
·Be quality focused and have knowledge of HACCP quality systems
·Be mindful and strive for continuous improvement
·Be required to lift in excess of 15kgs consistently throughout your shifts for this role
·Understanding of basic theory and techniques
·Perform proper and safe operation of bakery equipment and utensils
·Punctual and well presented
·Excellent communication skills
·Full working rights in Australia
