An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, motivated and dedicated individual to join our Recruitment Team.

About the opportunity
This position is based in our North Sydney Head Office. The primary focus of this role is to source, select and place high calibre candidates into Flight Centre Travel Groups businesses. We partner with Business Leaders to ensure that our businesses are fully staffed with the best talent, in a timely & professional manner so that we can deliver an amazing travel experience to our customers.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Source, select, and place candidates through best-practice recruitment methods
  • Facilitation of Assessment Centres and Career Information Sessions 
  • Availability to conduct interviews and attend events before and after hours when required 
  • Manage activity and proactively assist in delivering results to achieve business growth targets 
  • Partner with all businesses, leaders and support teams to build strong relationships and achieve business goals
  • Ensure that the Recruitment Centre is the custodian and role model of our philosophies and values 
  • Champion team initiatives such as employer branding strategies, employee referrals and retention

About you:

You will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and eager to jump in and assist your team with screening, interviewing, reference checking, facilitation and co-ordination of assessment sessions. You will also be required to travel regionally for recruitment, assist with leadership identification and provide high service levels in candidate management.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following criteria:

  • Experience in a fast paced recruitment role, ideally within the hotel, hospitality, events, retail or leisure industries.
  • Proven results with targets and KPIs in a volume environment 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build multi-level relationships 
  • Exceptional communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Experience in the development & facilitation of group interview/assessment centres for bulk recruitment
  • Proactive approach to talent sourcing including building, maintaining & engaging with talent pools/pipelines;
  • A proactive approach, resilience & ability to problem solve
  • An integral and confident character 
  • Social media campaign experience
  • Proven time management skills and ability to achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptability to different work environments and changing business demands.

This role will not be easy, however the hard work will be worth it. You'll face challenges and work with daily deadlines in this high volume role. You will be hands-on from day one and as such, this role suits someone who is confident, highly flexible and adaptable and who thrives in a busy work environment.

You will be joining the Recruitment Centre during an exciting period, as we undergo new developments to enhance the way FCTG recruits. This role will also give you a fantastic opportunity to develop relationships with key business leaders, with plenty of scope to partner with a range of FCTG brands and businesses.
