Indigenous Trainee Administration Assistant

Our Business Traineeship is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to take the first steps to a successful and fulfilling career within Local Government.  The trainee will work alongside our Administration Team gaining valuable hands on industry experience while completing a Certificate IV in Business over a 12 month period.

The successful applicant will provide administrative support, which will include duties such as:

  • Writing and preparing correspondence
  • Payroll/data entry
  • Response to customer service enquiries
  • Minute taking
  • Purchasing
  • Maintaining databases
  • Answering and transferring incoming calls
  • General administration support

Applicants must be able to meet the entrance requirement set by South Metropolitan TAFE and have not completed a Certificate IV or higher.

The traineeship will be located at the City’s Operations Centre, 93 Park Road, Mandurah.  The trainee will be required to work 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.  The traineeship attracts a salary range of $30,140 to $48,204 gross per annum dependent on age.
