Selection Criteria

Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (primary K-6) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (primary K-6) in regular classes.

Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.

Evidence of excellence in classroom practice which highlights inclusion, an integrated, high quality differentiated curriculum in literacy and numeracy in order to promote student engagement and learning.

Through successful team collaboration, evidence of highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with proven capacity to establish and maintain effective proactive partnerships with all stakeholders.

Proven expertise or experience in developing, implementing and evaluating quality individual learning support plans, behaviour support plans and access requests to facilitate improved student outcomes. Outstanding organisational skills with the proven ability to work with students, staff, parents and external agencies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
