The role is ideal for a hands-on recruiter who will also lead a small team. You will split you time between recruiting key roles for the organisation and managing the recruitment function, our employee brand and new social media attraction strategy.

The role will be responsible for guiding a team, dedicated to the management of the end-to-end recruitment activity. This will include the ownership and facilitation of all attraction, sourcing and recruitment activity across the Holcim business in both Australia and NZ. The role will drive a streamlined end to end recruitment processes and drive functional excellence as part of the broader HR team. The role will be responsible for all recruitment from our blue collar workforce through to technical, sales and senior roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor the attraction and sourcing strategy, including attraction channels, key suppliers and budgets
  • Oversee the recruitment process from end to end in conjunction with the recruitment team and hiring manager
  • Actively working vacant roles and talent pooling for future roles
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on innovative and robust recruitment strategies
  • Ensure required approvals are in place prior to the recruitment and appointment of any new employees
  • Maintain and manage recruitment systems and processes
  • Understanding and updating key metrics for the recruitment team
  • Maintain an up to date working knowledge of our industry in order to provide advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders, including Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners
  • Responsible for guiding a team through the day to day workload, ensuring you develop and mentor each individual across the recruitment lifecycle

About you

  • Relevant recruitment experience, ideally as part of an in-house team
  • Proven experience as a Recruitment Professional within the construction, civil, mining or similar industry
  • Experience in leading a small team and partnering with the business
  • Ability to be a key member of the broader HR team
  • Self motivated, autonomous and credible
  • Well developed coaching and interpersonal skills
