Non-Process Infrastructure Refrigeration Technician

Port Hedland residential position

8:6 roster

Reporting to Fortescue’s Non-Process Infrastructure Supervisor, the successful candidate will have a particular focus on safety, quality and efficiency. The incumbent will be required to perform duties around the workshops and across Port and Rail sites as necessary.

Key responsibilities will be to;

  • Complete statutory service reports, scope work, identify parts requirements and complete installations as required
  • Carry out refrigeration servicing, repairs and inspection on all equipment at Fortescue’s Hedland operations
  • Provide safe, effective and timely refrigeration maintenance
  • Schedule maintenance and breakdown fault finding on a wide range of infrastructure equipment
  • Liaise with the planning team to ensure planned maintenance schedule is implemented
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Fortescue’s Safety policy and procedures and in line with relevant Australian Standards.

 To be considered applicants will have;

  • Refrigeration Trade Certificate
  • Restricted Electrical Licence or equivalent
  • At least 3 year’s post trade work experience
  • Mining/heavy industry experience
  • Ability to communicate across multiple departments with a commitment to service 
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence
