Communications And Events Officer

Corporate communications with a twist, this is the chance to work on an event on a national scale

Your new company
This is a small Federal Government Department that really takes pride into what they do. You will be working within the corporate communications division and will have the chance to work on a large project supported by the Prime Minister. This project involved an annual event, which be held late in March 2020.

Your new role
Reporting into the EL1, your role will involve, but not be limited to:

  • contributing to the development of communications, media and issues management
  • stakeholder engagement, with both internal and external parties
  • supporting launches, presentations, events and other public affair related activities
  • liaise with the Minister's office and senior level staff members

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have previous experience in either communications or events, with the ability to quickly overcome any issues that arise. You will be personable and be able to contribute to a team environment, working at a fast pace.

What you'll get in return
This is an initial contract until EOFY, with scope for additional extensions. You will be working on a large projects and a large event, whilst constantly being supported by your team and Hays consultant.
