Contract Administrator

They are renowned for possessing a superior level of expertise and experience in the industry and winning awards for building excellence.    WHAT'S ON OFFER Our client is looking for a Contract Administrator to oversee a large commercial heavy refurbishment and fitout project. The project is worth $20m and is a complex refurbishment that involves a demo of the whole building and façade, column strengthening, temporary works, new slabs, curtain wall façade and an integrated fitout.
This is a great opportunity to get into a growing business that have all their systems and procedures in place and work with repeat clients.    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In-depth understanding of, and the ability to manage, all facets of the subcontract process. This begins at tendering through preparation and letting, payment, and post project completion
  • Proficient in all contractual matters and the ability to communicate this knowledge in a practical and meaningful way to the project team
  • Understand and comply with the company business systems. Administer projects ensuring accuracy of records and timely communication of all project details
  • Assist the Project Manager with project financial reporting and analysis
  • Develop an understanding and working knowledge of project planning and programming
  • Ensure safety compliance on site within your roles and responsibilities
  
KEY REQUIREMENTS  
  • Tertiary qualification in either Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • Solid knowledge of subcontract tendering, standards, procedures and the competitive market
  • Minimum 5-7 years previous experience, where you have negotiated and let contracts across a range of trades
  • Experience in the construction and heavy refurbishment space from $10m - $50m
  • Must have local Sydney experience or have worked in other Australian States
  • Exceptional client management skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Jobpac or CHEOPS is advantageous
