Production Engineer - HEPA Filters And Elastomers

The Opportunity

A multi-faceted position is available in the Production Engineering team. In this role you will coordinate engineering activities related to HEPA filters and elastomers. This includes but is not limited to HEPA filter testing and HVAC flowrate testing. You will be the site wide subject matter expert on HEPA filter testing, and maintenance strategy on HEPA filters on site.

Bringing a focus on attention to detail and experience in a manufacturing environment you will be pivotal in providing expert knowledge on all matters related to HEPA filter testing and ensuring the site is complying to the highest GxP standards. You will bring an ability to investigate, develop and implement solutions. In addition to all matters related to HEPA filters the role’s responsibilities include providing planning support to other critical GxP systems.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Establish and provide subject matter expertise and provide frontline engineering support to resolve plant issues related to HEPA filters
  • Coordinate periodic HEPA filter testing in multiple plants on site
  • Monitor the physical condition of the plant and implement solutions to adverse trends
  • Investigate and determine equipment failures; implement permanent solutions
  • Implement improvement projects
  • Supervise tradespeople
  • Strong liaison with departments in production, quality, corporate and engineering groups
  • Have a safety and quality mindset

To be successful

  • An engineering or related background with some experience in manufacturing preferred
  • A technical mindset with the ambition of becoming a subject matter expert
  • A familiarity with Quality Management Systems
  • Familiarity with semi or fully automated plants is ideal
  • Some experience HEPA filters/HVAC operations is desirable
  • A logical and analytical approach to problem solving
  • A strong communicator, influencer and a solutions driven mindset
