Our client is a world-leading blue-chip organisation that complies with the Victorian Self-Insurance licence. Based in Melbourne's CBD we have an opportunity for a Safety Officer / Principal Consultant on an initial 12-month contract basis.
This position will be accountable for the governance and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety practices and management systems in the Melbourne Office, to maintain and comply with Victorian Self-Insurance licence requirements. The role will also be responsible for also supporting the governance and implementation of standardised Health & Safety process and practices in Australia's Corporate offices, and support the training and upskilling of Property & Workplace employees. This includes oversighting the effectiveness of the Principal Contractor's system of work for meeting its OHS contractual obligations within the Australian Office
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in OH&S legislation and compliance with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role with a large corporate, ideally self-insured company. A degree or equivalent education is required, and an Accredited Safety Practitioners or Safety Consultants by Bureau is desirable.
