Medical Secretary

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing telephone enquiries and taking messages for several practitioners in accordance with their individual procedures
  • Confirming clinical appointments
  • Typing letters and reports
  • Dictaphone typing
  • Liaising with hospitals, General Practicians and Specialists on behalf of Doctors
  • Preparation of patients files
  • Filing & adhoc clerical duties

To be considered for this role you will have previous secretarial experience, strong typing skills and medical terminology. This is at times a challenging role and working environment and to be successful you will need to a highly efficient, organised person who can remain calm under pressure, use initiative and work with minimal direction.
