The company

Marist180 (www.marist180.org.au) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to creating positive change for vulnerable young people and their families. We are now seeking applications from experienced and driven caseworkers to commence immediately across the West Sydney and South West Sydney regions.


The position

We have a role available for an experienced Caseworke to work across the West Sydney and South West Sydney regions. The position involves the delivery of case management with young people across a range of therapeutic services including residential programs, in accordance with the standards required by the Office of the Children’s Guardian as well as strengths-based good practice.


For this role, you can expect to:

  • Undertake case planning and holistic assessment of young people to promote and support their safety, permanency and wellbeing needs
  • Work in collaboration with young people and their families, as well as any stakeholders both internal and external in order to develop pathways for the young people to make transitions, leave care and case closure
  • Complete assessments and collect outcome data as required for reporting and care planning
  • Coordinate and monitor support and services for young people in residential services within a therapeutic trauma informed framework.

The candidate

We are looking for passionate, practical and resourceful individuals with relevant tertiary qualification (Social Work, Psychology or equivalent), and 2 years case management experience working with vulnerable young people. Do you have:

  • Demonstrated experience working with young people 12-18 who have experienced complex trauma?
  • Experience working with families and young people who have been in contact with the child protection system?
  • Previous experience in residential or foster care contexts and understanding of child development?
  • Experience working with families towards restoration or contact arrangements?
  • Unrestricted Drivers' licence?
  • Working with Children check?
  • Current and Valid First Aid and CPR certification?
