Werribee Mercy Hospital is seeking an exceptional Nurse Manager to manage the Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA), Medical Day Stay (MDS) and Hospital in the Home (HITH) Department.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Nurse Unit Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operational management of the DOSA, MDS and HITH services at Werribee Mercy Hospital, ensuring continued high quality clinical practice and patient care is delivered to every patient all the time. The Nurse Unit Manager will also be responsible for identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives within these departments and across the broader organisation. Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include perioperative and specialist procedural services, general medicine, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care and an intensive care unit (ICU).
The hospital has recently undergone an $85 million major capital expansion with the opening or our new intensive care unit, 6 brand new operating theatres, a state of the art central sterilising department, and the opening of three new inpatient wards, taking the total number of beds at Werribee Mercy Hospital to 298.
