Consulting Rooms Practice Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven manager to lead our outpatient medical specialist clinic at BRHS.

A rare opportunity has arisen at BRHS offering a skilled professional a new challenge in this leadership role. This position will suit a motivated individual who has business management expertise and experience in the health sector.

The Consulting Rooms provide management, business administration services and reception to BRHS staff and visiting Specialist medical outpatient services. Key aspects of this role include effective relationship management of our visiting specialists, development of efficient business processes and proving leadership to the administrative team to ensure the delivery of a high quality outpatient appointment service. If you have high level interpersonal skills, a focus on person centred service and experience driving change in a busy and complex environment we want to hear from you.

Key criteria includes:

  • A qualification in Business Administration/Management or equivalent (minimum Diploma)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience managing a team in the Health Sector or a Medical Clinic
  • Proven capacity to provide effective leadership and management in a similar environment to an outpatient service
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clinicians, and build partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and implement change management methodology
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and managing budgets
  • Ability to understand and interrogate financial and business information for reporting on service operations and key performance indicators
  • A good understanding of human resource practices
