The Hunter New England Health Care Interpreter Service is looking for a Kurdish Kurmanji interpreter to join our team of staff interpreters.
Within this position you will provide interpreting services to public health professionals to ensure accurate communication is carried out between the health professionals and clients with a hearing impairment or from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
The successful candidate would have proven experience in interpreting in health care settings, be committed to continuous professional development and have advanced conflict resolution skills.
To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.
If you currently hold a temporary visa that allows you to live and work in Australia you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa
An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part time vacancies.
Job share arrangements will be considered.
