Daily tasks and responsibilities:

  • Scans merchandise using radio frequency (RF) gun to verify UPC and item. Keys received goods into computer using RF gun and prints pallet tags and stickers. Notifies Receiving Manager of any miss marked, damaged or mis-shipped items
  • Wrapping and unwrapping the pallets
  • Sorting the pallets and labelling as required (some heavy lifting involved)
  • Unloading of floor loaded containers (some heavy lifting involved)
  • Counts, and logs incoming and outgoing pallets.  Loading and unloading trailers of pallets
  • Operating electric pallet jack to move pallets of received and sorted merchandise to shipping lanes or to other areas of the depot
  • General upkeep of depot and grounds
  • Other duties as directed


Education/Training:                            High School

Licenses/Certifications:                      Must have a Forklift License for FT and Forklift essential but not required for PT

Knowledge/Skills:                              Basic computer skills


  • Must be willing to work on rotating rosters and Saturdays
  • Must have warehousing experience and must be physically fit
  • Must undergo a math/logic test
  • Will require a satisfactory criminal record check as the facility is an AQIS bonded facility
  • Will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test before start date

Chiller/Cold Storage Distribution experience is an advantage. Chiller/Freezer/Ambient temperature work required
