St Paul's Anglican Carlingford and North Rocks
Location: Carlingford, NSW
Date advertised: 10th March 2020
Job Type: Part time
Closing Date: 10th April 2020
St Paul’s Anglican, Carlingford and North Rocks is a large, evangelical church in North West Sydney that captures the vibrancy and growth of multi-cultural Sydney. With nearly 1000 adults, we currently have 5 congregations in English, a Chinese speaking congregation and a growing group of Farsi believers. A number of outreach ministries also exist through the week. https://stpaulsanglican.org.au/
Our mature and energetic children’s ministry represents about 200 children on Sunday mornings. We also run an evangelistic children’s ministry on Friday night, “Ignite”. Reporting to the Assistant Minister and supported by a dedicated Children’s Oversight Groups (COG) made up of a parent network, this role is pivotal in managing the direction and execution of this important, growing ministry. Key to this role is the ability to lead, enable and encourage our committed teams and build relationships within families of our children. Excellent organisational skills are also needed to plan and execute our annual children’s camp. As our children ministry teams are largely drawn from our Night Service, your attendance at this service would form part of this role.
Ideally, you will have no less than 2-3 years’ experience in the ministry to children, including input into the planning of programs and curriculum relevant to prevailing issues and challenges today. Experience that has included Scripture Teaching and/or Primary Teaching will be highly regarded. Some theological training will also be advantageous.
St Paul’s Anglican Carlingford and North Rocks endeavours to commit to ongoing ministry development to enable this role to thrive in capturing the hearts and minds of our children for the Lord Jesus.
