National Account Manager

Dow is currently looking for our next Account Manager to manage a large well known product range based out of our Melbourne office. Reporting to the Divisional Regional Sales Manager, this role directs and co-ordinates all activities for our customers and distributors to enhance customer value and build upon an already successful position in the Australian market. The successful candidate will be dynamic and self motivated and able to build excellent relationships whilst providing innovative solutions to improve efficiencies and deliver an enhanced customer experience. An attractive salary package and incentive scheme naturally comes with the role.

Geographical expanse covers Australia with some domestic travel required to meet with customers.


  • Account management duties for a wide cross section of customers in Australia.
  • Distributor management.
  • Regular customer visits.
  • CRM utilization to track customer interactions and opportunities.
  • Targeted business development aligned with strategy.
  • Forecasting and strong collaboration with inventory planners.
  • Strong focus on customer experience
  • Align with global business strategies.

We’re looking for:

  • Bachelor or above degree, with chemistry or commercial background;
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience within an account management role (industry experience preferred)
  • Demonstrates strong ability to quickly develop customer relationships
  • Strong business acumen including – (inc. financial understanding and negotiation skill)
  • Ability to manage forecasting and understand global supply chains
  • Excellent use of Microsoft office (esp. excel)
  • Good time management skills and proactive thinking;
  • Fluent in English communication and presentation;
  • Passion for learning and self development
