About the business and role:

We are a Neurology practice at St Vincents Specialists Centre Darlinghurst, our Interests are: General Neurology, Ion Channel Disorders, Headaches, Epilepsy, Neuromuscular Disease, Peripheral Neuropathy

We deliver modern, evidence-based medicine with patient wellbeing at its heart – our clinic aims to treat, support and educate our patients throughout their Neurology journey.

Our Medical Secretary/Receptionist will be a dedicated, stable individual seeking long term tenure. We value experience and maturity as perfect partners to a fresh and energetic attitude. You will relish a busy, multi-tasking day, and a diverse working week. You will be calm under pressure, and readily adapt to a schedule that shifts to suit the unexpected. You will be a natural organiser – you will thrive in co-ordinating a busy practice, and seeing solutions where others see obstacles. You will be a self-starter with integrity, meticulous presentation, and a cheerful disposition. 

Previous Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Medical Specialist practice
  • Neurology Practice experience desirable 
  • Experience with Genie or Gentu necessary

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Scheduling patient consultations and attending to inquires
  • Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently 
  • Invoicing and receipting of patient consultations
  • Drafting of quotes and payment management 
  •  Liaison with Medicare, health insurers, healthcare providers and governmental agencies e.g. WorkCover, DVA
  • Attending to doctors requests
  • Conducting Patient Surveys

  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong language skills and literacy

This position requires our Medical Secretary/Receptionist to join us five days in a full time role, Monday to Friday commencing end March
