About the Team
The Workplace Relations team works in a dynamic environment providing advice, support and representation on issues such as; workplace policies, employee grievances, dispute resolution, agreement interpretation & negotiation, performance and employee conduct.
About the Opportunity
Industrial Relations Specialist is responsible for managing industrial relations risk and workplace relations matters related to the Department of Transport. The role is also the key point of contact between the department and unions in relation to complex workplace relations and industrial relations matters.
You will have a track record of building good relationships at all levels including unions based on a reputation of providing sound, credible workplace relations advice, support and representation. You enjoy a variety of work including the opportunity to travel to our Victorian regional locations, bringing an understanding of public sector industrial instruments along with Fair Work legislation, anti-discrimination laws and brief writing, means you can hit the ground running. A law degree will be highly regarded.
