We are currently have a vacancy for a Full Time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team at the Cockburn Medical Practice. We are looking for enthusiastic and professional Medical Receptionist to assist with a variety of shifts including one weekend shift per week. Our clinics are busy, fast-paced and provide an essential service to the community.

You will support the smooth running of the Cockburn Medical Practice by working efficiently, effectively, and often autonomously, in-line with high quality processes and procedures which are designed to ensure the provision of a consistent level of service to patients, doctors and clients.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities include all aspects of Medical Reception including:

  • Taking bookings for patients (on Best Practice Software)
  • Changing appointments for patients
  • Answering a busy phone line
  • Checking patients in and out
  • Processing Referrals
  • Filing and records management
  • Billings and accounts (Hicaps and Eftpos)
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times

What you’ll need:

  • Best Practice Software experience preferred
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
  • Previous experience in a Medical Receptionist role
  • Ability to work efficient and excellent time management experience
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Professional attitude
  • Compassionate and understanding nature
  • Previous exposure to working in a healthcare or medical environment preferred but not essential
