Roster: 8 days:6 off 

Maintenance Services Supervisor (Electrical/ Power Station) - 8/6 Roster

Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent in Fixed Plant at Christmas Creek, an opportunity currently exists for a Maintenance Services Supervisor (Electrical) to join the team. The role is providing supervision to the Christmas Creek PowerStation and HV Network team, Fire System management contractors and support our key embedded contractors

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Hold statutory appointment as the Mine Services Electrical Supervisor, High Voltage Operator and be a Nominee for FMG's Electrical Installing Work Licence, as required by the Mine Safety Inspection Regulations 1995.
  • Manage daily work packs and provide supervision to all team members under their supervision
  • Carry out investigations into accidents/incidents and report to the relevant authorities as required
  • Ensure all statutory testing and maintenance is carried out and recorded as required
  • Ensure all PowerStation and High Voltage Network assets are maintained and reliable
  • Support Key Contractors to ensure safe and efficient delivery of their services

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current WA Electrician's Licence
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous Powered Generator and/or High Voltage asset management experience (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a large mining operation involving dewatering
  • High Voltage Switching Certificate
  • Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
  • Current High Risk Work Licence endorsed - WP
  • Experience in computer based maintenance systems - SAP
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
