About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Team Leader to join a leading supplier of both laboratory and medical equipment with over 2,000 customers throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting directly to the NSW/ACT Service Manager, you will lead an experienced and capable team within our Healthcare business group who is committed to providing high quality cleaning, disinfecting and sterilising equipment to Day Surgeries, Central Sterile Services Departments and major metropolitan and regional hospitals.

This role involves frequent and regular statewide travel to customer & supplier sites.

Your Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage a region of our service business in collaboration with the NSW/ACT Service Manager.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams by defining clear, realistic goals and strategies
  • Offer direction and technical expertise in systems repair and provide technical training to the team when required
  • Coordinate critical assessments of equipment, facilities and services, including design, implementation and operation of the project scope to ensure delivery of appropriate, compliant, reliable and safe functionality of the installed equipment
  • Actively review and formulate innovative service protocols to continuously improve the performance and results of the Service Team
  • Conduct continuous reviews to ensure that company standards are compliant pertaining to laws and regulations as well as with global Gallay’s policies and code of conduct.
  • Attend regular client meetings as well as running internal team meetings to gather requirements and tracking project process.
  • Undertake technical service duties such as performing pre-install assessments, on site equipment repair and service, product testing, and trouble shooting of machines at regular intervals.

  • Possess the ability to implement project management methodology in order to coordinate individuals to complete complex tasks, manage conflict, problem solve and identify and resolve potential risks.
  • Possess sound knowledge and commitment to safe working procedures
  • Possess a high level of communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships with our internal and external stakeholders
  • Have well developed people and strategic leadership skills

Technically Speaking You Will:

  • Have equivalent experience such as knowledge of medical equipment or mechanics, electronics, electrical motors or industrial washers/ washing machines
  • Experience in Pneumatics, Steam, and Pressure valves – experience with these in a medical setting environment will be highly regarded
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence
  • Possession of a current Restricted Electrical Licence.
