About the role

Working within the Ammonium Nitrate Despatch team, you will be responsible for safely operating despatch systems within a multi-disciplined team. This role will ensure all routine operational work is completed to meet customer requirements which includes packaging, loading and dispatching of solid ammonium nitrate.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Operating a forklift and/or front end loader to move product to designated areas
  • Managing plant breakdowns and identifying and implementing alternatives to avoid or minimise customer delays
  • Keeping plant, equipment and operational history up to date via the appropriate computer-based management systems
  • Prioritising your safety, and the safety of others in all practices
  • Carrying out all work in accordance with relevant environmental policies and procedures

Do you have the following skills and experience?

  • Satisfactory completion of Year 10 or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment, and take accountability for your work.
  • Previous experience in a packaging plant and/or experience dispatching bulk goods would be beneficial.

Flexibility is a requirement of this role, including working various shift patterns which may include night shifts.
