About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Service Representative to join a leading supplier of both laboratory and medical equipment with over 2,000 customers throughout Australia and New Zealand. Reporting directly to the NSW/ACT Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing onsite installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, testing and repair services to our products. Although this is a highly autonomous role, you will enjoy continuous support from our Sales and Service team based in Sydney.

This role involves frequent and regular statewide travel to customer & supplier sites.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Technical support. Repair and service Gallay equipment at customer sites
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules
  • Perform pre-install assessments. Work with project teams to plan, coordinate and carry out installations
  • Provide initial user training as well as on-going training for our existing customers on the use of our products
  • Conduct product testing and validate machines at regular intervals
  • Customer liaison. Reply promptly to technical sales/service enquiries via email, telephone, mail
  • Provide fast trouble shooting responses on all Gallay equipment
  • Participate in the on call roster system so that all customers can be provided with service after hours as required

Technically Speaking You Will:

  • Have equivalent experience such as knowledge of mechanics, electronics, electrical motors or industrial washers/ washing machines
  • Hold a valid drivers licence
  • Exposure to Pneumatics, Steam, Pressure valves will be highly regarded
  • Possession of a Restricted Electrical licence
