Logistics Coordinator

Our client is one of Australia's largest water and sewer maintenance capital service providers, providing a range of planned, maintenance, repair, restoration and renewal services across the North and Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. 

Our client is looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to their organisation. To ideal candidate will be a proactive individual working alongside the Operations Manager and liasing with the DTL's on site.

 Key responsibilities:

  • Work safely, productively, efficiently and effectively as an integrated team
  • Manage Stores inventory purchasing including the raising and receipting of purchase orders in JDE
  • Raise Purchase Orders as required for ad-hoc/one off material requirements which are to purchased directly to a job
  • Liaise with Field Crews, DTL’s & Planners to ensure the availability of required inventory in stores and minimise the need for direct purchasing
  • Manage the relationship of key inventory suppliers
  • Support the negotiation of pricing and terms with key inventory suppliers
  • Responsible for warehouse presentation, layout and compliance to safety standards
  • Review all subcontractors disputed invoices
  • Maintain effective documentation & reporting
  • Maintain and review Min/Max stock levels in JDE at optimum level based usage and lead times, in collaboration with the Procurement Manager
  • Manage Stores stock holding and conduct regular stocktakes including regular cycle counts and audits of vehicle stocks

Must Have:

  • Forklift Licence
  • White Card
  • ERP systems experience (Ideally JDE)
