As an expert Palliative Medicine clinician, you will provide a comprehensive range of services to patients and their family members who require palliative care in the Southern region of Adelaide. This will involve consulting with patients requiring palliative care in the community and conducting ward rounds at public hospitals. You will role model expected service behaviours by providing clinical services of the highest possible standard, applying relevant research to practice and participating and contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate education. As part of your role, you may also assist with policy development, implementation and evaluation. You will hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration (Palliative Medicine). Demonstrating clinical experience and a very high level of competence in the practice of medicine, you will have a proven track record in teaching and as an effective clinical team leader. You will possess good problem solving and decision making skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff.
This is a part time vacancy working 18.75 hrs per week and salary will be adjusted according to hours worked.
