They are highly reputed for their range of innovative medical devices and continuing sales growth. About the Role

An opening due to continued business expansion is available in its Surgical Device sales team covering public and private hospitals in QLD.  You will work as a Product Specialist selling capital diagnostic devices throughout NSW.

  • You will be accountable for selling a range of innovative, niche devices sold to surgeons in a highly technical and clinical benefit sell as well as some products where influence with theatre nurses who re-order is essential
  • A key responsibility is to provide support intra-operatively for your products; a key skill is your ability to remain calm and unemotional whilst delivering technical advice and knowledge
  • You will be working in an environment where business acumen plus hard work is just as important as clinical knowledge and relationships, this means treating your territory like your own business – maybe late finish’s or weekends or early starts on your territory. You do what it takes to get the job done and keep your customers happy

Skills and Experiences 

This is an extremely rewarding career that is perfect for a high performing, technically-minded, enthusiastic medical sales professional that is primed for a new challenge. To secure this role you will ideally have: 

  • > 2 years’ of Surgical Urology experience or Urology Pharmaceuticals experience 
  • track record of relevant sales success within the medical device arena, preferably with high end implant / device technologies. Well prepared for an emergency too, can you learn fast and think on your feet?
  • The ability to form good relationships with both doctors and nurses is a vital component to this role. You will need to be able to effectively and knowledgeably converse and articulate the issues relevant to the products
  • The ability to work effectively either autonomously or within a team-  this organisation encourages cross-division collaboration and solution selling to meet your clients’ needs 
  • Engaging interpersonal skills, Natural presentation style with polished communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications an advantage – Biology, Medical etc
