Let’s talk about the role:

This is a casual position working at our picturesque Laidley site, Tabeel Aged Care.

As a Grounds and Maintenance Officer you will:

  • Maintain the gardens and grounds within the service as directed;
  • Ensure equipment and garden materials are utilised in a responsible and safe manner;
  • Undertake day to day operations of the maintenance department in line with schedule of works;
  • Undertake projects and grounds and maintenance works as directed;
  • Liaise with external professionals including contractors and trades staff as required; and
  • Monitor supplies of chemicals and equipment.

Critical to your success in this role will be;

  • Previous experience working in commercial grounds keeping and knowledge of seasonal plantings.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance role, with a sound knowledge of facility management.
  • The ability to demonstrate a customer service focus.
  • Ability to communicate positively with others.
  • Able to be self-directed in your work.
  • Basic computer and email management skills.
  • Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical.
  • Possess a positive National Police Check.
