    The Position

    An exciting full time opportunity has emerged for an experienced Site Manager to join our team based in Chinchilla. Your responsibilities involve ensuring the smooth day to day operation of the catering operation within a medium sized aged care facility reporting into the Area Operations Manager. You’ll thrive on resident interaction, getting the best out of your team and exceeding our client’s expectations. You will be leading a small team of approx. 12-15 staff mainly working in a Monday to Friday capacity however occasional weekend work will apply as required.

    Key Duties

    • Motivate and lead our team of employees in all our site operations
    • Manage HR related functions - recruitment, staff induction, employee relations, performance management, training & development
    • Develop and exercise relevant legislative knowledge required for business compliance
    • Stock control and ordering of produce in line with budget and site requirements as well as completion of relevant paperwork in a timely manner
    • Maintaining a fantastic relationship with residents and clients
    • Deliver customer service skills and a key focus and passion for driving this in the aged care industry
    • Implementing and maintaining the Compass Group's HSEQ Quality Assurance program
    • Preparation,  production, packaging and transportation of food products to all required internal and external standards
    • Management of raw material stocktake, stock management, production records and associated financial records

    The Person

    • Single site operational experience in aged care catering preferred
    • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage a budget & the ability to form productive relationships with clients and individuals from diverse backgrounds
    • Experience in HACCP, food safety and infection control
    • Site management experience, including rostering, staff management and working to a budget
    • Management experience, including rostering, budgets, business management and HACCP
    • Chef trade qualifications or sound industry experience
    • Strong Occupational Health and Safety focus

The successful candidate will have a sound working knowledge of food hygiene practices and OH&S principles and will have to obtain a police clearance.
