Employment Services Position

MADEC is a successful, not for profit Australian organisation with over 400 employees providing service delivery across 58 offices in SA, VIC and NSW. We believe a job can change a life and we are driven to help people in financial or social disadvantage. Through employment services, vocational training, labour hire, and other services and programs, we empower people; connect with support; enhance skills and confidence; and provide them with the opportunity to reach the goal of employment.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact upon business and industry sectors we are establishing a Contact Centre to address the significant increase in people requiring employment and return to work support and assistance. Working from home as part of a remote team, you will be responsible for making initial phone contact with newly registered job seekers, conducting initial interviews and capturing the required information into the company’s software systems.

As an entry point to our organisation we are offering these as casual roles (working up to 38 hours per week) with real possibilities for career advancement by taking up a permanent Job Coaching role at our Port Pirie site.

Key duties

  • introducing newly registered jobseekers to MADEC services;
  • complete Job Readiness Assessment;
  • complete a tailored job plan;
  • provide information on current job vacancies and job search strategies; and
  • upload and document all information onto MADEC software platforms.

Experience

You will have demonstrated experience in providing information and/or services to a broad range of people via call centre or customer facing environments. Any experience gained in the provision of employment services would be an advantage but is not essential.

Great communication skills with the ability to effectively engage jobseekers is key to this role. A result focussed approach, being able to motivate, identify and offer personalised solutions to assist jobseekers will drive your success.

You are confident but approachable with great negotiation skills and possess strong administration skills to monitor and report on client activities and requirements.

If you share our values, commitment to success and have a genuine desire to support people into employment this is the role for you!
