Business Analyst – Technology - 6-Month Contract

The position

Working in a flexible and Agile Automation & Applications team located in Brisbane, you will be responsible for addressing customer business needs and requirements and be part of a digital transformation program.

You will also evaluate and implement effective business solutions manage key stakeholders and expectations as well as navigate through complex technical landscapes

This will role will report to the Head of Automation& Applications and will engage with various local and interstate key stakeholders. Responsibilities will include:

  • Elicit requirements from business and technical stakeholders with obtaining business requirements and risk assessment and ongoing operational impacts

  • Develop Specifications for new functionality including high-level business requirements, process mapping Agile user stories with a focus on documentation.

  • Local Lead and coordination of application development activities

  • Modelling a range of solution options, strategic drivers, estimation and analysis of costs versus benefits.

  • Provide robust solutions concepts and recommendations

  • Undertake BA duties within a Matrix project environment

  • Hybrid project methodology

  • Partner with other teams to manage and implement business process changes that streamline processes, improve productivity and optimise operational efficiency.

The person

 

To be successful in this role you will have experience in analysing data and experienced in Agile and or Waterfall Project Methodology to draw business relevant conclusions.  You will also understand the purpose of Information systems, coupled with strong written and verbal communication and key stakeholder engagement skills including technical writing.  Resolving ambiguity, a strong ability to draw out requirements and highly self driven is paramount to the role, as is the ability to work under pressure and within agreed timeframes.  A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business analysis or related role is essential. 

Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role

will be highly regarded. Initially a 6-month, contract daily rate will apply.
