Purpose of the role:

The role of the Senior Admininistration Officer is to ensure the timely and effective administration and billing of the Rural and Remote Medical Benefits Scheme for the Northern General Practice Services of the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service. The role will be responsible for accurately increase revenue billing in collaboration with the Practice Manager.

  • There are no mandatory qualifications for this position. However, TCHHS values the enhanced work performance which may be gained from the expanded knowledge base and skills acquired during formal tertiary training and encourage both existing and potential staff to participate in lifelong learning.
  • It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated/immune against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough), hepatitis B.
