What you'll be doing
The Multi-Purpose Service model (MPS) exists in smaller communities and is aimed at integrating a range of health services including acute care, subacute care (including respite and palliative care), emergency, allied health, primary health and community health services under one management structure.
Current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and First Line Emergency Care Course (FLECC) accreditation or equivalent qualification or willingness to obtain within 12 months of employmentDemonstrated recent experience as a ‘Hospital/Ward in Charge’ or similar leadership roleRecent clinical experience in an acute health care setting and understanding of the aged care setting.Demonstrated ability to use problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others Knowledge and understanding of person-centred care, evidence-based practice and quality improvement Demonstrated understanding of and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and within the scope of practice of a Registered NurseWillingness and availability to work across a seven-day rotating roster including public holidays
