Townsville Based Health And Safety Consultant Required Asap

We are currently looking for an experienced HSE Consultant based in/around Townsville for an immediate start; overseeing 3 ports for all health safety and environmental matters. We would expect the candidate to have around 5 years’ experience in all matters HSE, taking care of day-to-day operations, ensuring effective maintenance of the HSE systems across the regional ports whilst maintaining key relationships with stakeholders both on port and external including the regulatory bodies associated with the HSE discipline.


The role is initially 3 months with a solid chance of a permanent role for the right candidate. The engagement would be based on a 4days/week cycle and may involve some travel to the regional ports. 10-hour days, the suitable candidate must be located within driving distance from Townsville.

On a practical level, you'll need: 

  • Minimum Cert IV WHS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a pragmatic approach to leadership.
  • Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
  • At least three year's site experience in the resource industry (mining, oil and gas, construction)
  • A burning desire to learn, broaden your horizons and challenge yourself.
  • The ability to engage, develop and maintain relationships across all levels of business
  • A current Driver’s License and Police Clearance,
