We are currently seeking applications for a Physiotherapist to join our disability services team on a permanent part time, working 30 hours per fortnight, with our Transitional Accommodation Programme based at Marangaroo.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team the Physiotherapist (PT) provides quality, appropriate and relevant physiotherapy services to meet the needs of Brightwater Care Group’s clients. The Physiotherapist’s role is to assess the client, determine the individual capabilities, and set realistic goals, facilitating the achievement of these goals while optimising functional performance in relation to mobility, respiration and physical comfort within a community-based transitional residential setting.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated experience as a physiotherapist (2+ years desirable)
  • Desired clinical skills include: high physical support needs, subacute and neurological interventions, and complex behaviour management.
  • Strong person-centred skills in communicating and engaging with clients
  • Experience in a hospital and NDIS setting (desirable)
  • Current satisfactory National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months)
  • Up-to-Date Influenza Vaccination
  • NDIS Certificate (see below)

NDIS Worker Orientation module is a highly interactive online course that explains the role of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and the obligations of staff under the NDIS Code of Conduct.
