Jobs/Responsibilities

The Graphic and Web Designer is responsible for providing design and web coordination services for all areas on Orange City Council. This includes:

  • Oversee art direction and develop graphic concepts and production for major projects across a range of media channels including web, digital and print as well as events and exhibition design
  • Lead in-house graphic design and contracted services to meet changing requirements and priorities
  • Quality and timely delivery of graphic design and desktop publishing services for print, online, interface, and experiential applications
  • Develop web sites by designing, categorising (navigation), planning, clarifying goals and executing design including content and graphics (images, icons, banners, audio enhancements, etc) by coordinating with communication officers

Skills/Experience

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • A degree in Design or Graphic Arts (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrated understanding of graphic design principles, creativity, branding and innovation skills
  • Exceptional computer literacy
