We are looking for a motivated Systems Engineer to join our close knit high performing team within NEC’s Defence CP account. The role is based in Canberra.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Resolve all incidents in line with required service level agreements in a Wintel Environemnt.
  • Complete project activities as required on behalf of the customer.
  • Define and document requirements and provide design documentation as appropriate
  • Assist with and generate Design’s, Solutions & execute new installations and upgrades as necessary complying with the change management process.
  • Maintain accurate records of all operational assets (hardware, software)
  • Strong support and adherence of the ITIL methodology

Skills & Experience

To be successful in the role, you will be an experienced Wintel Technical Support Engineer specifically with exposure to hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.

Additionally, you will have the following:

  • A ‘can-do’ attitude to support the needs of a professional team with experience working to KPIs in a managed service environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies
  • Working knowledge of virtualised environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant Tertiary and related qualifications are strongly preferred

To be successful, you will need to hold minimum NV1 level security clearance.
